Built for material movement
A plant loses more to undocumented material movement than to break-ins. Industrial deployments are therefore built around the gate register, the weighbridge and the challan — not just the perimeter.
Scope of duty
- Gate and weighbridge control — inward and outward challan verification, tare and gross reconciliation, seal checks
- Material gate passes — returnable and non-returnable pass discipline, with registers reconciled to stores daily
- Contractor labour control — headcount at entry and exit, tool checks and photo-ID gate passes
- Perimeter and beat patrolling — timed beats through yards, stores, scrap area and boundary with punch-point records
- Scrap yard watch — the highest-risk area in most plants, given a dedicated post
- Firefighting and emergency response — hydrant and extinguisher checks, assembly-point drill support, first response until the brigade arrives
- Investigations — written enquiry reports into pilferage, damage and incident, submitted to management
Reporting
A daily security report and a monthly incident summary go to your nominated manager. Anything serious is escalated by phone the same hour, not held for the report.
